Leadership Corner

Are You a Revolutionary Leader?
How does new leadership take your business to the next level? How do you lead in times of uncertainty? What skills are required to take your organization to the next level? How do you begin developing a stronger, more agile organization? From the Desk of Rebecca Davis, Ph.D.

Can you even believe that it is almost the end of 2013? I can remember my Mom saying quite often when I was a young girl, “The older you get, the faster time seems to go.” Now, I think I totally understand what she was talking about, although back then it sounded kind of silly to me, especially when waiting for Christmas to come each year. So, as we moved into the holiday season our hope, Christy and I, along with the Board of Directors, hope that this holiday season you are surrounded by friends, family and fun times.

And, as we look toward 2014, my challenge to you is to take the time to take care of yourself. We all have very important work to do in the upcoming year...

December Coffee/Tea Chat with Mary Kay Chess, Ph.D.
Wednesday, December 18 – 12:00 PM ET; 11:00 AM CT; 10:00 AM MT; 9:00 AM PT; 8:00 AM AKST

Welcome to the final days of 2013!  We will have our monthly Coffee and Tea chat with Dr. Mary Kay Chess on Wednesday, December 18th.  During this month of December, we take time to consider all the changes we faced in local communities around the United States.  We highlight the successes we supported during this twelve month period.  And, we look forward into 2014 for a few moments during the hour to consider what might emerge during the next year.

This is a time of reflecting on the gifts of resilient communities and equally resilient leaders - each of you!  The time we spend sharing our perspectives and sharing what worked and what might be tweaked in the new year is food for thought for everyone!  We look forward to celebrating with you on Wednesday!

Rural Health Network Development Planning Grant Program (HRSA-14-043)
The purpose of ORHP’s Network Development Planning Program is to assist in the development of an integrated healthcare network. This program brings together key parts of a rural health care delivery system, particularly those entities that may not have collaborated in the past under a formal relationship. By working together, rural health providers and organizations can achieve efficiencies, increase capacity and improve the quality of essential health care services over a given geographic area.
(Deadline: January 16, 2014)
