New Member Profile: Colorado Telehealth Network
Greenwood Village, Colorado | Ed Bostick, Executive Director
The Colorado Telehealth Network (CTN) was formed in 2008 by the Colorado Hospital Association (CHA) and the Colorado Behavioral Health Council (CBHC) as a result of two Federal Communications Commission (FCC) grants. The FCC goal in making these awards was to improve patient care and safety by providing the core network infrastructure that would:
- enable rural health care organizations to increase their use of health information technology, such as Electronic Medical Records; and
- encourage affiliated (but separate) health care organizations to collaborate and integrate in ways not possible without a high-capacity, connected network.

From the Desk of Rebecca Davis, Ph.D.
I wanted to share with you some preliminary results of the phone interviews that Christy and I have been conducting with the membership. We thank the 33 members that gave us a small portion of your busy time to participate in the phone interview. We would love to talk to the 14 members that we have been unable to connect with so far. If you have not been interviewed and have some time this week, please let me know.
So, from the 69% of the membership that we talked with we heard the following about top NCHN services; relevant news and information; and suggestions for new programs.

January Coffee/Tea Chat with Mary Kay Chess, Ph.D.
Friday, January 31 @ 11:00 AM ET; 10:00 AM CT; 9:00 AM MT; 8:00 AM PT
On January 31st, join your NCHN colleagues and welcome in a new year of connections, renewals, expansions, and considerations during the first of the monthly Coffee & Tea chats with Dr. Chess in 2014. Through three questions, we'll explore potential Network innovation in 2014:
- As you consider the business lines of other networks across the United States, what one business line intrigues you the most, and why.
- As you think about the members in your Network, what one member contributes the most to your organization and, why.
- As you think about your Network membership, what new approach might you be willing to consider this year around membership and, why.
The Coffee and Tea chats provide a forum for innovative thinking - without risk! You'll learn from the successes you have each experienced in your unique communities and, who knows what you will create during the year based on this conversation! Looking forward to connecting with you on Friday, January 31st!
Call in details were distributed through a Save the Date from Rebecca. If you did not receive, please let her know. |
