TORCH is dedicated to assisting general acute care hospitals of 150 beds and less as well as business and commercial organizations that share a common interest in rural health care by addressing the issues unique to rural and community hospitals and recognizing the many contributions to rural health care.

New NCHN Member: Texas Organization of Rural & Community Hospitals (TORCH)

Please join the Board and Staff in welcoming TORCH as NCHN's newest network member. TORCH's mission is to be the voice and principal advocate for rural and community hospitals in Texas and to provide leadership in addressing the special needs and issues of these hospitals.

TORCH was formed in 1990 and is comprised of 150 members statewide. David Pearson is President and CEO and some of you may already know him through his work with a previous NCHN network member. He also presented during the NCHN Informational Call, Champions for Networks, on Monday, June 17, 2013.

June Monthly Recap: From Rebecca Davis, Ph.D.

Welcome to Summer!  It will officially be here on Thursday, but I think many of us have already experienced summer temperatures and storms.  I hope that you have plans for some fun and relaxation during the summer months.  We all need to recharge ourselves to better serve our members!  Send us some pictures of your summer fun!

Summer time is also a time to catch up – catch up with friends and family – and time to catch up on projects.  NCHN is catching up on some annual housekeeping tasks and we need your help!  Thanks to the 43 members that have submitted your 2013 dues assessment form.  If you that have not yet submitted the form, please do so today, so that we can mark that off our summer to do list.  Thanks a bunch!

Rebecca Davis is the Executive Director of NCHN and lives in Montrose, Colorado
