Indiana Statewide Rural Health Network Joins NCHN  (08/10/2007)
NCHN is happy to announce and welcome its newest member, Indiana Statewide Rural Health Network, located in Terre Haute, Indiana. Their mission is to create a network of rural providers dedicated to improving their ability to deliver high-quality health care to Indiana rural residents.

Mercy Hospital Extends Relationship with Synernet  (08/10/2007)
Mercy Hospital President, Eileen Skinner, recently announced an extension of their current relationship with Synernet for medical transcription services. “The major reasons for this decision were our good experience with Synernet in the past with respect to transcription services, our confidence that they can continue our 24/7 access to transcription services for our physicians and mid-level providers, and our need for a transcription provider that can provide transcription services efficiently,” states Skinner.

Wisconsin HCAHPS Program Growing  (08/15/2007)
Since March of 2006, the Rural Wisconsin Health Cooperative has been an approved vendor for the CAHPS Hospital Survey Program. RWHC uses the mail methodology approved by CMS. They currently have 40 hospitals across 16 states taking advantage of the web-based reports and data uploads.

RWHC Licensing Health Careers Web Site  (08/15/2007)
Any NCHN network is eligible to host their own Rural Health Careers web site – an interactive recruitment tool focusing on rural health positions (clinical and non-clinical) that is state-specific.
